| Byrd Church Homecoming THE DATE HAS BEEN SET! - October 19, 2013 | |
| We have
started planning the weekend and the fund raisers. The spaghetti
dinner was a great success and now we are looking towards the yard sale
this summer. If you have stories or historic pictures, please send or give them to Ian Armitage. He is putting together a movie of interviews and pictures for the event and would appreciate any help. Any physical items will be scanned and returned to the owner. Thank you! | |

Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction Thank you for coming out and supporting us! |
| The
dinner and auction were a great success and put us well on the way
towards paying for the Homecoming in October. Thanks again for
supporting us through attending the dinner. Also, we would like
to Linda Uloth for all of her time and effort that she put into the
setup and serving! THANK YOU, LINDA! |

| Cook - a - Meal |
|
| Several
members are at home needing meals. Cook up something good and
easy to share and we will fill the freezers at the church. The
meals will then be distributed as needed. For more information
contact Marni Kisor. |

| Resource Center |
|
| Marni
Kisor is working on providing a Resource Center to the
congregation. The Resource Center is a place that you can go to
get more information on subjects ranging from diabetes to wills.
If there is anything that you would like to be included, please contact
Marni. |

| Church Growth |
|
| The Session asks all members and visitors to invite
friends and family to come and visit Byrd. We believe that
through "Life Style Evangelism", reaching out to others in word and
deed, we can grow the church of Christ. In order to best
implement this plan, we invite all members and visitors to share any
thoughts, positive or negative, concerning the growth of Byrd with
either an Elder or Rev. O'Connell. We look forward to hearing
from you. |

| Adult Sunday School |
|
| Byrd
offers an Adult Sunday School class at 10 am every Sunday and all are
welcome. The class discusses the previous Sunday's sermon and
looks ahead to the next sermon text. We look forward to see you
there. |

| Goochland Food Bank still needs our support! |
|
| The
local food bank is in need of any kind of food and toiletries.
This is an ongoing urgent need. Please bring any kind of food and
or toiletries to church on Sunday and they will be taken to the
bank. Your support for the important outreach is appreciated. |

| Byrd
is an unique faith community. Let us share this uniqueness with
our friends by inviting and encouraging them to come and worship with
us. Byrd, through the work of the Holy Spirit, changes and
impacts the lives of many. Your friends and neighbors can be
experience this as well. Invite them and bring them along to experience
God's caring and loving for all His people. |
